July
First one for July!
Given that most people listen to music in the home on their own, would you agree that a really good pair of headphones (say £375 +) is greater value for money than a stand-alone system at many times that price?
Is the music of Sinéad Marie Bernadette O'Connor a triumph of marketing over mediocrity?
Is the facility to home-trial a piece of equipment for 28-days on a Buy-without-risk / Sale-or-Return basis (against full pre-payment – for security) more use than a typical demonstration in a typical audiophile retailer’s premises?

Stereonow asks three totally unrelated questions!
Is the music of Elvis Costello a triumph of marketing over mediocrity?
Stereonow now are going to dispose of surplus CDs. Is it a good idea to
invite people that want them free of charge to suggest that they send us
a cheque for £3.00 made out to The National Deaf Children's Society
instead?
Do you enjoy the stereonow survey and if so, should they continue every
fortnight?
Technicalities
When it comes to the technical sections at the end of the subjective testing of equipment in both Hi-Fi World and Hi-Fi News, which of the following statements best applies to your perception of their value?

To view ads or not to view ads?
Stereonow are thinking of allowing free adverts from music venues to appear on our site. So clubs and halls promoting in no particular order, blues, jazz, opera, chamber music, rock, experimental, funk, fusion and so on could have free adverts with us. From your perspective as a Stereonow site visitor, would you like to see these music-related adverts?
Should you buy, rent or lease your hifi?
From time to time we like to give our customers new ways to look at getting their hands on some of the excellent hifi equipment that is now available in this fairly high end market.
For a long time people used to rent their TVs, washing machines, videos, etc., until the costs came down to a level that it became much cheaper to purchase these items.
However, some of the reasoning behind this method is still valid today. Such as if there is a problem with the equipment, one phone call gets it sorted either by immediate repair or replacement. When a new model becomes available you can easily upgrade at very little, if any, extra cost. When the item you want is more expensive than you can currently afford. And when you decide you no longer want it, you simply cancel the agreement after fulfilling the initial contract.
It’s not everybody’s ideal but it can suit some.

Which Editor?
Which UK audiophile magazine's editor is in your view most likely to have said that they are only interested in reviewing equipment that has not been reviewed anywhere else in the UK?
